Rogues and Fraudulent Websites

There are more bad guys on the internet than the trusted and safe IALOP members. In fact, only 238 websites are approved by IALOP. The fake ones will try to trick you into thinking they're real pharmacies. So, be careful and always choose a secure pharmacy that's certified by IALOP.

  • IALOP Members never send unwanted emails (spam) to promote their services.
  • IALOP Members won't sell strong or addictive drugs, even if you have a doctor's prescription.
  • IALOP Members won't sell any medicine that needs a prescription without one from your personal doctor.

"Rogues" are harmful websites that do risky things: they sell medicines without a prescription, don't share their identity or location, or sell poor quality - even fake products.

Fake sites pretend to be something they're not: they're not based in Canada, they're not real pharmacies, and they're definitely not approved by IALOP - but they misuse our seal to trick you.

Avoid Websites That Email You and Guide You to a Site Named “Canadian Pharmacy,” “Canadian Healthcare”, “Canadian Health and Care Mall” or “drugs5.com”

These sites wrongly use fake seals and qualifications. They are the main reason for customer complaints. Most people say their credit card was charged, but they didn't get anything. If this happened to you, please tell your credit card company about this scam.

Many websites change their web address almost daily and make crazy claims about their qualifications.

IMPORTANT: www.thecanadianpharmacy.com is part of IALOP and a legal Canadian pharmacy. You will always see this name in the web address line, and it won't change like the above-mentioned sites.
